From the port, guests can reach the centre of Capri by taxi, bus, or the funicular railway which brings passengers to the heart of Capri in Piazza Umberto I. A short stroll along the elegant main street (Via Vittorio Emanuele) and one of the island’s most characteristic lanes (Via F. Serena) leads visitors towards the Augustus gardens and the Hotel La Residenza. On arrival at the port guests are greeted by a hotel representative (recognisable by uniform) who will organise the transportation of their luggage . The cost of the service can be settled on departure from the hotel.
