The Whipper-In Hotel is a former seventeenth century coaching inn hotel situated on the Market Square of Oakham, England's smallest county. The hotel has 24 bedrooms which have been attractively furnished and decorated by interior designers. The public areas of the hotel have real fires and deep, comfortable armchairs and in the summer months the courtyard is the perfect place to socialise and relax with friends or colleagues. The Whipper-In has previously won the 'Rutland in Bloom' prize for it's marvellous hanging baskets. There are two popular restaurants, the traditional 'George Restaurant' and the new contemporary 'No.5' Restaurant, both of which are renowned for excellent food and service.
